Everything you need to know about Pre-Orders.

About Pre-Order

Why Pre-Order?

Despite increasing demand, the number of Japanese collectibles exported to Europe is very small compared to the number sold in Asia. The modest supply has led to a pre-order market that resembles a war zone. That you do not pre-order today is gone tomorrow. In the best of worlds, we would pre-order as much as possible of all products to ensure that everyone has a chance to take part in the full product range, but now we only live in a half good world so we had to settle for a half-hearted compromise, which is the choice to pre-order.

How it works

When you find a product that you would like to pre-order, contact us at info@ediya-shop.se and let us know the article number, the product name as well as your name, mobile number and address. We then double check that the product still can be pre-ordered from our supplier and get back to you with how much you are to pay in pre-order fee and what you pay when the product arrives. The pre-order fee is 20% of the total value of the item and you can choose to pay with PayPal, Swish or bank transfer. The pre-order fee is included in the prices stated at each and every product, so there will be no surprise extra fee (except the shipping fee which is 59 SEK within Sweden and 150 SEK to Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Estonia). When transferring by bank, we want a screenshot or similar from your bank that the payment has been completed since it usually takes a banking day or two before the transfer is completed. Once we have received the payment, we pre-order the product from our supplier.

If bad luck should strike and the item has already been sold out (yes it can happen even to pre-orders) before we have placed the order, we will refund you in full. In individual cases, our supplier may also receive a smaller number from the factory than they ordered and therefore be unable to deliver one hundred percent. Should this then affect your order, we will notify you and refund the pre-order fee in full.

When we have received the item, we will contact you again concerning payment for the remaining 80% + any shipping if the total cost of the purchase does not exceed 1 000 SEK. Note that this only applies within Sweden. To Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Estonia the shipping fee is always 150 SEK. You have 10 days to complete the payment, otherwise we might cancel the purchase. Please note that we do not refund the order fee if you do not complete the purchase.

If you regret your pre-order

Should you regret your Pre-Order, we do not refund the order fee of 20% as this is the fee we charge to take the item home just for you. However, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the time you receive the item, so the last 80% that you paid before we sent the item to you will be refunded if you regret it and return the item to us unopened and undamaged. Pack the product properly so that it is not damaged during shipping. We are not responsible for shipping and return shipping fees.

The early bird gets the figure

As we are still a small company, we pre-order only a few of selected product to our own warehouse. Therefore, we recommend making pre-orders and not wait until we have the item in stock, so that we can guarantee that you receive one. It is also often cheaper as our suppliers usually have discounted prices for pre-orders, which we of course let you take benefit from.

When it comes to insufficient delivery of pre-ordered goods from our suppliers, first come, first served applies. Of course, we do not want to deny anyone their order, but since demand is high, there is a risk. We will notify you in such cases as soon as we get the word from the supplier and refund your entire pre-order fee.

From Prelaunch to Release date

On the Japanese market, the norm is that the products must be reserved around four months in advance for the distributor to be certain of receiving the desired amount. It takes an additional 2-3 months from the time the product has been released in Japan until it is available on the international market. This means that as a distributor in Europe you have to pre-order the goods six months before they are available here. And believe it or not, even then the popular products are fully booked in the bat of an eye, so it is important to be out in good time to get an item that you want!

If the release date of an item you have pre-ordered were to be postponed by the manufacturer to the extent that you no longer want the product, contact us and we will talk to our supplier to see if we can cancel the order.

COVID-19

The current pandemic is affecting the release date of many products due to many flights and shipments currently being cancelled or delayed. Therefore, the release dates can be postponed by both the manufacturer and the supplier. Our products currently come mainly from European suppliers, but we have plans to order things we will not be able to get in Europe directly from Asia in the hopefully near future when the situation has stabilized. In the meantime, stay safe and take care of each other.

We are happy to receive tips and requests

For now, we are mainly focused on highly popular anime and manga such as Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, My Hero Academia and more. We try to expand our range as time goes on, but if you have any ideas or wish we could bring home something specific, get in touch with us and we'll see what we can do. Feel free to send the name of the manga and the character / characters you are interested in so we can send pictures and price of what our suppliers have available.
