Experts at breaking sieges and assaulting enemy fortifications, the Iron Warriors, led by the Primarch Perturabo, chose to ally with the Mad Warmaster during his heretical war-march towards Sol and the Emperor. Eternal rivals to the favored Imperial Fists and seemingly overlooked at every turn despite their sacrifices, the vicious rage and jealously that burned within Perturabo erupted into an inferno that led his Iron Warriors to decimate and burn entire worlds. Prone to replacing their missing limbs and body parts with mechanical ones, the threat of an Iron Warriors siege is enough to keep entire systems in check...though the warriors themselves prefer defiance so they can release their extreme wrath.
Raised on the warring planet Olympia where he honed his razor-sharp tactics and strategies, The Lord of Iron Perturabo was never beholden in the eyes of the Emperor despite countless successes in bringing entire systems into the fold of the Imperium. Falling ever deeper into seething hatred for being overlooked, the brutal pacification campaign on Olympia that devastated his adopted homeworld fully pushed Perturabo into the madness and treachery of his brother Warmaster Horus' heresy. His legion would unleash a storm of pain, fury and Iron that wrought destruction against the Imperial Fists, the Imperium itself......and finally, the Emperor.
